Hi, I'm Martina! I was born and raised in Ventimiglia a town in Liguria in northern Italy on the border with France. If when you think of Italy you think of food, then to bring you closer to my city I can tell you that Liguria is the homeland of Pesto, focaccia, tortaverde, pizza sardinara, farinata... I'm stopping here because I'm getting hungry!
I have always loved discovering new cultures and getting closer to traditions and the history of new countries. It will be because of these that I have friends from all over the world, Brazil, Spain, France, USA, Argentina, England.
After 5 years of study, 1 of which was spent studying in Poland through the Erasmus program, I got my law degree. However, I understood that my dreams of being a lawyer had changed over time. I decided to go to Spain to improve my Spanish that I had learned as an autodidact. There I studied to get the TEFL, a diploma for teaching English as a foreign language, and the CEDILS, a diploma for teaching Italian. I worked as a teacher in academies and online. Until in 2020 I became the general director of a language academy. This experience helped me a lot and made me grow professionally and personally.
When I teach, my goal is to offer an inspired approach to practice and experience. By this I mean that studying a language is not just knowing some grammatical rules by heart, it is not simple translation. By “knowing a language” I mean KNOWING TO SPEAK IT. This is why in my classes you will start talking from the first day! I love learning languages and from my experience I understand what a student is looking for. For this reason, I try from minute 1 to transmit tools that allow my students to communicate spontaneously and naturally in Italian.
