About me

Hi, I'm Martin. I'm from Leeds in the north of England but for the past 6+ years, I've been living in the beautiful city of Valencia, in Spain. I qualified as a teacher in England and taught in colleges for several years but I've done many very different things since then - salesman, IT consultant, plumber, farmer etc. All of my mini-careers have taught me new things about life and I try to incorporate the things I've learned into my teaching. In Valencia I've been working as a teacher since I arrived here - a mix of adult classes to businesses around the city, and 1-to-1 teaching with the young and old - some preparing for exams or new jobs, some just wanting to learn or improve their level of English. My classes are whatever you want them to be, and that can change as often as you wish. Some are conversation classes, discussing the topics of the day, special interests, role-playing scenarios that you want to prepare for, or listening to and analyzing your favorite songs that you've never quite understood. Others focus on reading or writing skills to develop social or business skills, and sometimes my students even ask me to help them understand English grammar! If you want to improve your English skills, at any level, in an interesting and grown-up way, I can help you.
