About me

Hi! I am a foreign language teacher and translator since 2009. I hold a BA in Translation and an Erasmus Mundus Master in European Literary Cultures in Italy and in France. I obtained the TOEIC, the TOEFL, the IELTS, and the CPE (C2 level). Why did I become a teacher? I was discovered at ten years old by my first English teacher at a public school in Brazil when I was about ten years old. She convinced my mother to pay for me to take English classes at a private language school. Seven years later, I ended up choosing my bachelor's program because of my passion for foreign languages and cultures. But although almost all of my education is on translation studies, I made my career mostly in teaching. Curiously, today I prefer teaching instead of the solitary routine of a translator. When it comes to teaching, the most important thing is to get in tune with the student, their interests, and their goals and make sure that each student has a specific course tailored to their needs. I adapt my methods and resources to the needs and objectives of the students. I mostly use English Grammar in Use and materials for preparation for English as a foreign language tests. *For the moment, I am only available to teach online.
