Per quanto riguardo greco e latino l'approccio proposto si fonda su un'attenta analisi della sintassi, con riferimento, alla bisogna, al metodo della grammatica valenziale. In caso sia richiesto dai docenti, non si trascureranno la morfologia verbale. Attraverso un confronto con lo studente, si cercherà di individuare anche una terminologia che, in occasione delle verifiche orali, soddisfi le pretese formali dei professori. Rispetto alle letterature antiche, si farà attenzione, in caso sia richiesto, alla metrica e ai suoi aspetti fondamentali. Ci si concentrerà sugli aspetti stilistico-letterari, in linea con il contenuto delle lezioni. Per la letteratura italiana il discorso è il medesimo.
