About me

Hello! I'm Emily. I give English classes to students of all ages - and my teaching methods change with the age of each student. With children, it's important to give them lots of resources and games to play, which strengthen their base of vocabulary. I have plenty of quizzes and tasks that I'm sure they'll love! With adults, I like to focus on the four main skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and equal focus on buildup of complex vocabulary and fluency practice. I am a fun and energetic person; my classes are closely adapted to your needs and interests and it is my goal to challenge you in every class. I have more than six years of experience teaching dozens of students just like you, so I hope to see you soon! I initially enjoyed my first two sessions with Emily and felt comfortable with the learning process. However, in the latest session, the lesson shifted toward open-ended questions that felt beyond my current proficiency level without adequate preparatory input. This approach left me feeling unprepared and undermined my confidence. Additionally, rather than focusing on constructive language feedback, the tutor commented on my facial expressions an ... d tone, which I found unproductive and discouraging.
