About me

Hello! My name is Alba, I am a 26 year old girl graduated from the University of Santiago de Compostela in Audiovisual Communication. I consider myself an active, cheerful and outgoing person, I like teaching and I enjoy spending time with children of all ages. As a lover of language learning, I know how hard and frustrating the process can be in certain aspects and, therefore, I have developed my own methods and methodology in the classroom in order to overcome them and move forward positively in the learning process. The important thing is to enjoy the journey as you try to accomplish your goals! I have been working in China for two years as an English teacher in kindergarten and language center for children between 5 and 14 years old. In Spain I have more than four years of experience teaching the language in language academies, at all ages and levels. I have experience in preparation for official exams (Cambridge, Oxford, Aptis, TOEFL, TRINITY...) and in linguistic immersion from a very early age (TET and Callan methods, among others) as well as classes for adults both to improve general language skills and for specialization in business/legal/restaurant... When I met Alba, I thought that classes would be like the 'typical academy' English lessons, but nothing farer than reality. Her method is so useful and adapted to your level and your interests, in my case. Apart from grammar, she teaches specific vocabulary and useful language for current and real topics, and gives extra materials to support the learning (listening exercises, videos, recommendations about films or series...).
