I have been teaching history and academic writing in English for 18 years and have a BA Hons., bachelor degree in English and History with a teaching qualification from Cambridge University. Lessons are dynamic and focused on discussion of content, reasoning skills for essay writing and understanding the context of historical and political readings, media and test papers which are important for the exams ant all levels. We work together on structuring and constructing essays with an academic beginning, middle and end formulating each. Paragraph as we progress in relation to the study topic. Students progress from the lower grades to 89 in GCSE and eight star in A-level and 2:1 in their degrees.
