Enthusiastic and passionate tutor! Please watch my intro video here https://vimeo.com/888406000. I am an Experienced teacher and tutor of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I qualified as a teacher from Bristol University in 2018 and started my career at Ridgeway School and Sixth Form in Swindon later that year. Within this school I taught KS3 to KS5 Science, with other leadership responsibilities, such as; head of house, staff sports lead and PGCE mentor. Since then I have taught in two other schools with very differing demographics. With six years of experience, I have taken a wide range of students through their GCSEs and A-levels. These students all required a unique approach each time and I pride myself on teaching the individual. My own educational journey was not always an easy one and I completely empathise with students who struggle with particular scientific concepts. I was not a person who 'just got it'. I believe this is one of my main strengths in the classroom and whilst tutoring. I treat each student differently based on forming a strong student-teacher relationship. I am a gregarious person, and I will assess the parts we can work on to achieve the grades you deserve. My undergraduate degree was in Biological sciences and I also have a PGCE Science qualification. I've taught both Edexcel/AQA/OCR and Pearson specifications for Combined, Triple, A-level and KS5 Applied Science. I am able to teach 11 - 18 yr olds and have 6 years of experience in tutoring and teaching in a secondary/sixth form setting. My goal is to get to know each student, so that I can tailor my approach to your particular way of working. I have taken many students through the GCSE and A-Level Science courses and my reviews on not only this website but many others show this.
