I am driven by the joy that comes with helping another person speak my native language, English. This passion and drive is what ultimately makes me good teacher. My goal as a teacher is to create a supportive learning environment which will help my students meet their learning goals. I adhere to the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT ) method. This method emphasizes the students ability to communicate effectively and appropriately in real-life contexts, and students learn to make requests, accept offers, explain things, and express their feelings and preferences. Therefore, I promote communication and fluency in my classroom as I believe that language is used to create purposeful and meaningful interactions.
