Hi, I'm British, but have been living in the beautiful land of Botswana for over 35 years. My wife (who's also British) and I retired about 6 years ago. To fulfil a secret lifetime ambition as well as to stay active in a fun way, I retrained as an English teacher. Wildlife, travel and rugby are my great passions in life, and living in Botswana allows me to pursue all three at the same time! Oh, and the great weather also means a healthy outdoor lifestyle. I'm now a bit old to play rugby, but I'll always find time to watch a game. I grew up living all around the world. Living in places such as Cyprus, Hong Kong, Belize and Thailand in my childhood, has made me addicted to travelling. My wife and I have been to places like India, Nepal, Guatemala, Spain...the list goes forever on. Foreign travel is a great way to broaden the mind and understanding of our fellow human beings. I truly believe everyone should travel if they can; it would solve so many problems in the world. If you are reading this the chances are that you have been studying English for some time, but you still cannot actually speak or use English. It's not you, it has been the way you have been taught! Schools have been using a method of language teaching which has been proven to be the worst way to teach, as it emphasizes learning grammar and uncontextualized vocabulary from a book. YOU'VE STUDYING ENGLISH, YOU HAVE NOT BEEN LEARNING ENGLISH. It's like trying to learn how to swim by reading about it in a book, but never getting into the water and ACTUALLY SWIMMING. My teaching method is completely different. After taking a placement test, I will tailor make a complete course for you. We will begin learning how to "Learn English with Our Ears". Listening and speaking are the KEYS to being fluent in English. My lessons are conversation based and are designed to be fun. When you're relaxed and having fun, you learn more and you learn faster. It's that simple.
