Hello there! My name is Arishna (you can call me Ari). I was born and raised in South Africa. 🇿🇦 I am a qualified teacher. I have completed my Bachelors Degree in Education at the University of South Africa, with English as one of my majors. I have also embarked on a TEFL course. Teaching English online with various ESL companies for over 2 years have provided me with the necessary training and skill set to cater to each individual need that may arise. 👩‍🏫 I have a passion for people and I believe that imparting knowledge is the most rewarding job! I am passionate about teaching others and learning about new cultures. I also have other interests such as interior design and travel. I once worked in the logistics field and have gained much knowledge and skill from that.👏 In my free time I enjoy cooking, visiting the mall, researching beautiful destinations of the world and doing cross word puzzles. I also love my pets and spending time with a good book! 🐕🏋️🥣 I am a warm, friendly person who is easily adaptable in new situations and very sociable. I am here to be an encouragement and cater for your personal learning needs whilst helping you to master a new language in a fun, enjoyable way. I am so excited to get to know you better.😊 The teaching styles that I make use of are inclusive- where students are given the freedom to engage, share and ask questions based on your specific needs. My goal is to leave students feeling confident in their English dialect. Our topics are interesting and will cover various elements of the English language. I give lots of feedback (or immediate correction) if requested. I can send some topics to you where you are able to choose your learning, we can do free talk sessions, that is perfectly fine with me as it helps you to practice your pronunciation, and learn new vocabulary. 📖 I just want my students to be happy with their learning and feel confident! I also can also provide worksheets and/or case studies to practice your language skills. It gives students a sense of developing their thoughts and expressing their ideas in scenarios on a more advanced level. I will use visuals such as flash cards/charts/ to help students to remember specific colors, shapes or useful words and how to use them in a conversational way. I am also here to help you to express yourself daily in the correct manner. I am an English all rounder! Whether it is the basics, everyday or business English I can help you. 🤗 I create a warm, conducive environment where my students know that its okay to make a mistake and keep practicing. I have 4+ years of experience teaching in a classroom with kids aged between seven and thirteen years. I have planned my own lessons and resources as well as taught different educational themes.🌈 From phonics to simple sounds, to vocabulary to sentences and phrases, I can assist, kids and adults all welcome! Regardless of the age, I want my students to know how to communicate effectively and be able to express their feelings/ ask a question in the right manner. I can also assist with creative writing, reading, grammar and linguistic practices.
