My name is Mela. I have a very bubbly personality, I am patient, passionate and I make sure I listen attentively to my students. I am very passionate in helping others. I enjoy solving problems, I have a very curious mind and I believe that this is why I am passionate about research because I love being fully aware of what I am doing or anything in general. This shows that I am always well prepared. My approach to teaching English focuses on creating a supportive, engaging, and interactive environment. I believe in personalized learning, catering to each student's needs, strengths, and interests. My teaching philosophy centers on the idea that language learning should be both practical and enjoyable, using real-world contexts and examples to help students develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. I emphasize continuous feedback, encouraging students to take an active role in their learning process and building confidence in using English in everyday situations. My goal is to help students become effective communicators, fostering both linguistic competence and cultural understanding. One of the things we will be focusing on is conversational English, sentence construction, pronouncation, grammar and articulation I have a 120H TEFL and TESOL Certificate, including 1 year experience teaching English online. I hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering (NQF7 BTECH Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering). I would like to teach English online because I am very passionate in helping others. I've always wondered what I can do to contribute towards people and help them grow in life. Teaching online English, improving people's English is also one of the ways to help become the better versions of themselves. At University, I was an Orientation Leader, First Year Experience Leader and appointed to be a Mechanical Engineering Mentor. I also got a distinction in Communication Studies during my first year. This proves my capability and experience in working with people and highlights my experience in communication. This strongly highlights my experience in interacting with people, good communication skills and leadership skills I am truly excited to work with you and help you achieve your language goals. My goal is to make each lesson enjoyable and effective, helping you feel more confident using English in everyday conversations, academic settings, or professional environments.
