Susu
🎼Hello everyone, I'm Susu. I want to introduce myself to you: First, professional. I have a master's degree in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, and I can help you solve problems in phonetics, vocabulary, Chinese characters, grammar and culture, for example, if your pronunciation is not standard, I can use praat to visualize your pronunciation and find specific areas for improvement. Secondly, in terms of language, in English, I have won the first prize in the National College English Competition, and I have a certain English ability, so we can communicate without barriers, and in Mandarin, I am a first-class B, which is also very rare for native speakers; Second, patience. One of my hobbies is paper-cutting, a traditional Chinese craft that requires a lot of patience and care to bring the work to life, and I feel a great sense of accomplishment when I see cute animals, tall houses, and lush plants on paper. Therefore, in the joint study, I will sculpt your Chinese level with the same care and patience; Third, empathy. As a fellow second language learner, I am well aware of the difficulties and how to overcome them, and I will always be there for you and guide you.
👍Teaching experience: I have nearly one year of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the students are mainly from Thailand, HSK level intermediate, and the teaching purpose is to pass the HSK level 6 exam. I am mainly responsible for the teaching of the pronunciation part, focusing on the inflection of speech flow, which is the main reason for the inauthentic pronunciation of second language learners, and my solution is to take a pre-course test - collect speech samples - classify the types of bias - customize the teaching design - conduct targeted exercises - give timely feedback after the class. To get a better understanding of the types of biases, I use the praat to extract the relevant sound features and then map them into a pronunciation map to visualize what needs to be improved. At the same time, I have a detailed understanding of their native language, especially the phonetic system of their native language, understand which biases are caused by the negative transfer of their native language, and carry out targeted design and practice. Thanks to my efforts ,after being evaluate by the third-party , the students' pronunciation level has improved greatly.
🥇 Pedagogy: First, timely encouragement. Encourage and build confidence in the early stages of learning; Encourage students to make progress and reinforce positive feedback. Secondly, for intuitive teaching, I will use more diagrams in the teaching courseware, so that on the one hand, it can attract students' attention, and on the other hand, it can help students understand and remember. Finally, take it one step at a time. Learning Chinese is a long-term process and cannot be rushed. You can start with simple numbers, places, greetings, etc. At the same time, I will make the key points of the class into knowledge cards for students to review in time. Of course, the most important thing in learning is to be able to internalize the knowledge points, so students are the main body of learning, and I will always keep this in mind, communicate with students in a timely manner, and pay attention to feedback and practice.
😄The best time to plant a tree was ten years ago, and secondly, now. I'm ready, come and chat!
