I have been a physics and mathematics tutor since 2015, mentoring hundreds of students, up to university level. Usually, I stick to the following pattern: I start my lesson providing scientific and – possibly – historical background of the subject, making sure that the student has clear why we are tackling that particular issue. After a theoretical explanation of the subject at hand, we turn to the problem sheet. This tests and strengthens the comprehension of the student, and is thus a fundamental part of the lesson. Throughout the lesson, I put effort in involving the student, by asking them questions, by providing examples drawn from real life and by encouraging questions from his side. I believe that my first responsibility is to help students become independent in their studies. I am very easygoing, and I am sure you are going to be happy with my tutoring. I explain the arguments in a way that even those students who don't have a great knowledge of the basics can understand. I use lots of examples and, at last, I try to generalize in order to make the student capable of working by herself/himself. I can switch from a formal to a non formal language and vice versa in order to make of primary importance the understanding of the logical arguments without neglecting the teaching of technical terms. I always ask the student if he/she has understood and, if necessary, I verify it with some questions.

Hi! I am Andrea Costantini and I have given private lessons for the last 10 years. In this period, I helped kids in High School and at the Universiy teaching them mostly math and physics. I had the pleasure to assist over 50 students, the greater part for a journey that lasted some months, and most of them overcame their expectations. I had the possibility to help some neurodivergent students and therefore I acquired the necessary skills to assist them I their personal needs. In these years, I developed a teaching method that has given me many satisfactions. It can be summarized in 4 phases: - Create a relationship of trust, - Correct the study method, - Work on specific deficiencies, - Make students independent. If there are students with shorts deadline, I will focus on deficiencies and study method. I ask to my students to be dedicated and precise with deadlines. From me, I will try to make the lessons fun and entertaining. With ten years of experience and over than 50 students, I am sure there will be great improvements and long lasting results!
