HI! I'm Valentina, nice to meet you!
I am an economist, risk and compliance consultant and teacher of Latin, Greek and mathematics.
I graduated in business economics and management from Bocconi in 2016, I obtained a Master's degree in European Studies in 2017 and a master's degree in International Relations in 2018 from LUISS. My work experience develops in consultancy, mainly technology and audit, and in 2013 my teaching adventure began between Rome and Milan, immediately after finishing high school. Since then I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages, coming from different parts of Italy.
My experience has taught me that each student is unique, with their own strengths and challenges, and this has helped me develop a personalized approach to tailoring lessons to each student's specific needs.
My lessons are held both individually and in groups, from middle schools to university students and then to couples of adults who simply want to integrate their training to discover the deep roots of the language that we all speak today.
I am excited to share my passion for these classical languages with students who wish to learn them or improve their skills. I have dedicated many years to the study and teaching of Latin and Greek and believe that these languages offer a unique opportunity to explore the culture, literature and philosophy of antiquity.
I consider myself a very precise and organized person in my working method, flexible and available to meet the different needs of my students, pursuing your goal together: making friends through Latin!

Sono una docente di Lettere con anni di esperienza come tutor. Ho conseguito nel 2020 la Laurea Magistrale in Scienze dell'Antichità con il massimo dei voti e prima la Laurea triennale in Lettere e Beni Culturali (con indirizzo Lettere Classiche) con il massimo dei voti, ma tutto è cominciato quando mi sono innamorata dell'Iliade a 11 anni! Dopo quella "prima cotta" ho scelto di frequentare il liceo classico e poi il resto è diventato storia!
I miei studenti mi hanno soprannominata "Mary Poppins" perché arrivo quando c'è bisogno di me e vado via quando sono autonomi e competenti, ma soprattutto con me anche la perifrastica e l'aoristo vanno giù!
Lavoro soprattutto con studenti adolescenti, quindi che frequentano la scuola secondaria di primo e secondo grado.

Ciao! Sono Elenapia Tallerico, insegnante di letteratura italiana e Latino. Ho conseguito la Laurea Magistrale in Filologia moderna e, ora, voglio dedicarmi all'insegnamento delle materie nelle quali mi sono specializzata, sia con ragazzi delle scuole di ogni ordine e grado, sia con studenti universitari.
Con me, voi ragazzi, avrete un confronto diretto che si baserà su un dialogo utile alla comprensione dei concetti. Non amo le lezioni in cui sembra che ci sia un monologo, ma durante i miei insegnamenti preferisco confrontarmi con voi anche attraverso degli esempi, in modo tale da poter assorbire al meglio tutte le informazioni. Naturalmente le lezioni saranno impostate in base alle esigenze e agli obbiettivi di ogni singolo studente.

Oltre all'apprendimento dei contenuti didattici, mi impegno sempre con i miei studenti a costruire in loro uno spirito critico (che li sappia guidare nel mondo, anche al di fuori della scuola) e ad appassionarli alle materie in questione. Il mio motto è sempre stato quello di "imparare a imparare" (richiamandomi a Don Milani): tra gli obiettivi principali infatti c'è quello di rendere questi ragazzi autonomi nello studio. Le mie lezioni (di italiano, latino, storia/geografia e aiuto-compiti generale) si rivolgono soprattutto agli studenti delle Medie e delle Superiori.

My name is Elena and I'm a musician. I attended the Conservatory in Turin and previously studied latin and ancient greek in high school. I started tutoring elementary, middle, and high school students right after graduating. I offer tutoring in humanities subjects (Latin, Greek, Italian). I have experience with students with learning disabilities (DSA). I am available for both in-person and online lessons. Ofrezco dos tipos de clases: apoyo escolar para estudiantes que cursan Latín en el secundario o la universidad, y clases de Latín por medio del llamado Método Natural, centrado en la lectura y la adquisición de léxico en contexto.
En todo caso siempre me esfuerzo en adaptar las clases a las necesidades del alumno y en hacerlas dinámicas, priorizando las actividades guiadas y la relación de los temas con las experiencias e intuiciones del alumno.

Hello, I am Marisa, I have a degree in Classical Literature from the University of Palermo and I have taught Literature and Latin for more than thirty years in Palermo, within the high school program. During my professional life, I had many experiences in cultural exchanges, twinning projects and Erasmus projects, among other activities. I have obtained the title of CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) teacher in order to teach content in foreign languages (in my case, English). Now, as of September 1, 2022, the time has come for me to leave school..., but it is really hard to leave a profession that I loved and I still enjoy very much..., so I would like to start again with online classes to students who are anywhere!!!
