J’ai reçu une formation de physicien qui a débouchée sur l’obtention d’une licence en Physique. S’en est suivi une spécialisation pour laquelle j’ai obtenu un master en Physique option électronique et systèmes de télécommunication. et par la suite un doctorat en physique avec une spécialisation en électronique. La formation que j’ai reçue me donne de bonnes aptitudes de formateur et d’encadreur dans les notions liées aux sciences de l’ingénieur (mathématique, électronique, traitement du signal, électrocinétique, électrotechnique, physique...) Depuis plusieurs années, je viens en aide aux élèves et aux étudiants de différents niveaux d’étude. Mes année d’enseignement m’ont permis de cerner les réelles difficultés des élèves et étudiants dans la compréhension des sciences exactes. Ces difficultés étant bien de fois dues à l’approche pédagogique adoptée, et finissaient par leur ôter le désir d’apprendre et de découvrir les richesses des sciences exactes. Mon objectif en m'inscrivant dans cette approche de suivi d’apprenants , est non seulement de partager avec eux ma passion pour les sciences exactes mais aussi d’arriver à faire disparaitre de l’esprit des apprenants la peur de ces notions. Mi chiamo Diego Smerilli e sono un ingegnere elettronico di 30 anni laureato con lode, laurea magistrale. Sono un docente di professione e ho conseguito un master di I livello dal titolo: "L'insegnamento delle materie scientifiche nella scuola secondaria di I e II grado: matematica e fisica." Insegno fisica e matematica da quattro anni negli istituti tecnici industriali. Collaboro da più di cinque anni con doposcuola e svolgo ripetizioni private nelle materie tecnico-scientifiche: faccio dunque questo lavoro a tempo pieno. La lezione dipende dalle caratteristiche dello studente, ma non é semplicemente lo svolgimento dei compiti per casa: cerco di far capire al ragazzo quello che sta facendo affinchè possa risolvere in autonomia problemi che non ha mai visto. In generale si parte dalla teoria per poi applicarla agli esercizi, che prima vengono svolti e spiegati da me e in un secondo momento direttamente dallo studente, il quale viene guidato e messo alla prova. Non svolgo esami o verifiche: si tratta di un illecito molto grave.

To master any subject, a clear concept of the topic is paramount. My lesson style ensures the student has a clear understanding of what is being asked and that they can grow to be confident in solving problems. The structure of each lesson is as follows: Each lesson we start off with a small exercise based off the previous lesson to ensure that the student is confident with that topic. In the main section of the lesson we will go through the new topic content. The style of lessons will vary between students, but in all lessons I encourage conversation related to the topic to broaden understanding. I have found that this is one of the best ways to engage students and see them progress in their confidence. After this, to compound the topic knowledge and information, questions are given to the student to solve, this may be accompanied by extra questions from myself to encourage a problem solving and critical thinking mindset. This helps develop a greater understanding and identifies areas where further assistance is required. Applying maths and physics to real world scenarios is another area I like to encourage. My goal for you as the student is to obtain a solid understanding of the subject that will allow you to retain the information learnt and take your exams with confidence. As I come up to four years of tutoring, I find it extremely rewarding to see students grow, overcome challenges and have fun during their studies. During this time I have learnt different teaching techniques and how to tailor each lesson for each student so you can get the best support you need.
