Hello, I'm a Canadian and British citizen with a lifetime of teaching and tutoring experience, especially with non-native speakers. Science is my real passion. I have always gone out of my way to make learning interesting and to make sure the students truly master the material. Most of my work life has been as a teacher. Interpreting and adapting educational material to make it palatable, interesting, and fun has been a major component of this work. Contextualizing lessons to the demographics, culture, and level of the students has also been integral to engaging them for more successful learning outcomes. I have been responsible for all stages of some in-house training programs from needs analysis and placement to program, curriculum, and course design to assessment and feedback sessions (and then back to revamping as needed). The importance of making sure the students are enjoying these activities has always been a high priority. Coordinating extracurricular clubs for Public Speaking, Debate, Theatre Arts, Science, and other subjects has been ongoing throughout.
