Biografia
Vasile Chisiu è nato a Medias (Romania). Ha studiato canto lirico all'Università di Musica di Bucarest e al Conservatorio di Trapani, in Italia.
Nel 2005, ancora studiando, il baritono Vasile Chisiu ha debuttato all'Opera Nazionale di Bucarest come Enrico Ashton (G.Donizetti, Lucia di Lamermoor) ed è stato assunto come solista a tempo indeterminato.
Da allora è apparso sul palco dell'Opera Nazionale di Bucarest e di altri teatri lirici europei in più di 20 ruoli (Rigoletto, Nabucco, Il Conte di Luna, Germont, Amonasro, Simon Boccanegra, Alfio, Tonio, Carlo Gerard, Enrico Ashton, Yeletsky , Renato, Ping, Gianni Schicci, Schaunard, Gasparo, Peter ecc.)
La carriera internazionale di Vasile Chisiu inizia in Italia nel 2010, con Carlo Gerard dell'Andrea Chenier (Soragna di Parma) di U. Giordano, seguita da numerose esibizioni di Rigoletto al Theatre Derby di Milano e nella tournée "Il Carro di Tespi". 2011 in Friuli Venezia Giulia e Veneto ea Zara (Croazia).
Nel 2013 Vasile Chisiu ha debuttato come Simon Boccanegra (direttori P.Tamas e G.Sandor) alla Szeged National Opera, Ungheria (Armel Opera Festival). La performance è stata trasmessa direttamente su Arte Live Web.
Dal 2014 il baritono rumeno è regolarmente ospite al Winslow Hall Opera Festival, Regno Unito, dove ha cantato Enrico Ashton in "Lucia di Lammermoor" (G.Donizetti), Renato in "Un Ballo in Maschera" e Il Conte di Luna ne "Il Trovatore" di Verdi (Direttore d'orchestra – O.Gilmour).
Nel 2015 Vasile Chisiu è apparso come Yeletsky in "The Queen of Spades" ("Pique Dame") di P.I.Tchaikovsky al Tiroler Landestheater di Innsbruck, Austria (direttore di scena - Th.Strassberger, Direttore d'orchestra - F.Angelico).
Nella stagione 2017-2018 Vasile Chisiu ha cantato Rigoletto e Tonio ("I Pagliacci" di Leoncavallo) all'Opera Nazionale di Iasi, Enrico (Donizetti "Lucia di Lammermoor"), Amonasro (Verdi "Aida") e Rigoletto al Teatro dell'Opera di Constanta. Ha cantato Tonio all'Opera Nazionale di Bucarest e Alfio ("Cavalleria Rusticana" di Mascagni) al Teatro dell'Opera di Brasov.
Nella stagione 2019-2020 Vasile Chisiu è apparso come G.Germont (G.Verdi "Traviata") al Brasov Opera Theatre. Nell'ottobre 2019 ha eseguito in prima assoluta Il Trovatore (ruolo Il Conte di Luna) al Teatro dell'Opera Nazionale di Odessa, Ucraina e con questa produzione è apparso al Teatro Chassé di Breda, in Olanda. In Capitole Gent e Concertgebouw Brugge (Belgio) ha cantato il ruolo principale del "Nabucco" di Verdi con la produzione dell'Opera Nazionale di Odessa.

In 2015 Vasile Chisiu appeared as Yeletsky in PITchaikovsky's "The Queen of Spades" ("Pique Dame") at Tiroler Landestheater in Innsbruck, Austria (stage manager - Th.Strassberger, Conductor - F.Angelico). In the 2017-2018 season Vasile Chisiu sang Rigoletto and Tonio ("I Pagliacci" by Leoncavallo) at the National Opera of Iasi, Enrico (Donizetti "Lucia di Lammermoor"), Amonasro (Verdi "Aida") and Rigoletto at the Teatro dell' Work of Constanta. He sang Tonio at the Bucharest National Opera and Alfio ("Cavalleria Rusticana" by Mascagni) at the Brasov Opera House. In the 2019-2020 season Vasile Chisiu appeared as G.Germont (G.Verdi "Traviata") at the Brasov Opera Theater. In October 2019 he premiered Il Trovatore (role Il Conte di Luna) at the National Opera in Odessa, Ukraine and with this production he appeared at the Chassé Theater in Breda, the Netherlands.
