Hi, let me introduce myself, my name is Simone, I'm 24 and I have a degree in Physics at the University of Naples. Here's everything you might be interested in about me. MY CAREER Already during my high school years I became passionate about physics thanks to some projects in which I had the opportunity to participate. In particular, before enrolling at the university, I took part in research projects for students at INFN in Frascati (National Institute for Nuclear Physics) and Caserta (University of Caserta; moreover I had the opportunity to spend 1 month in Slovenia always within the scope of opportunities reserved for students. After that during the university years I was a speaker at Città della Scienza (Naples) and then graduated from the bachelor's degree. Currently I attend the master's degree in Milan in Astrophysics. MY EXPERIENCE I have now been teaching to younger kids, finding more than positive feedback from my students. In particular, over time I had the opportunity to refine my method by reading books and privately studying communication techniques that have proved very useful to me. This, combined with my personality , has always allowed me to relate well to students, making the lessons more effective. WHY I LIKE TO TEACH: Teaching is a activity that has always attracted me and is one of the scenarios I imagine in my future. In particular, it is one of the most impactful works I know; in fact, I myself have had teachers who inspired me and to imagine being able to impact the lives of others in this way excites me. MY METHOD: My method consists first of all in setting up a fairly informal relationship with the students in order to make them more involved and at the same time make the lesson lighter. In practice, I focus on four aspects that I believe are fundamental in the development of scientific thinking: 1- SETTING: recognizing hypotheses and theses of the arguments, that is, what is the problem? 2- UNDERSTANDING: understand the process that connects hypothesis and thesis by developing a scientific argument. 3 -EXERCISE: master mathematics and understand its practical side 4 -EXPOSURE: expose the arguments in a scientific way. MY VISION First of all, from my point of view, everyone can achieve excellent results in science subjects such as mathematics and physics, usually too frowned upon by students. The main problem lies in teachers setting up a detached relationship on a human level, underestimating students too often and generating boring lessons with meaningless formulas. What I try to do is therefore try to convey an approach to solving problems through physics, an approach that can be easily carried over to one's life.
