About me

I have 24 years of experience successfully teaching German to GCSE and A Level in a UK secondary school. I would describe myself as an enthusiastic, patient and calm teacher. I was an examiner for AQA German for over 10 years, so I know what examiners are looking for. It's fine to make mistakes. I know how to deal with this in varied ways, so you feel at ease and confident. It's really important that learning is fun. Laughter is a key part of learning. It helps make learning enjoyable, memorable and successful. I understand all learners are different. I will listen to you. I will respond and explain things patiently and calmly, and we will work together towards your goals, not mine. I will make sure it's the right level of challenge, but still fun!
