My name is Scotty! I am from the US and a native English speaker. I have a 120-Hour TESOL Certification and I passed the course with an overall score of 95.08%. I studied subjects such as linguistics, speaking, pedagogy, reading and writing. I already have experience teaching English online. I am patient, fun, loving, and outgoing. I believe in myself and my students. I know with hard work and dedication, anyone has the potential of reaching their goals. I have had the privilege of teaching over 100 students from the ages 3-70. Every week I spend much time teaching students effectively in English. My hobbies are watching and playing sports, traveling, spending time with my family, trying new food, and watching movies. I love to learn about new cultures! I have the goal of traveling to each continent! I also play music! I play the drums, trumpet, and the clarinet. Teaching English is a passion for me because I love to see others be successful in their lives and having a small part in other's success makes me feel accomplished! I focus on building my student's confidence and fluency in speaking English by helping them in pronunciation, grammar, and correcting their word usage. I encourage them to speak freely and I look for every opportunity to commend them on their progress. I look forward to meeting new people and teaching them English but also learning from them new ideas and culture! I can't wait to meet you!
