I am dynamic and curious individual. This is reflected on my CV. My work experience brought me to work in different domains such as the technical drawing, research on the human genome with AFM généthon (le téléthon), French TV (Question For a Champion), the Natural History Museum of Paris (department of mineralogy), karate instructor and so on.
I like sport, literature, sciences, history, new technologies and the international politic. I am good at adapting to students needs and try to find subjects of conversations and studies adapted to the necessities of my pupils.
I have been a teacher for the last 15 years. I spent several years in England during which I obtained various diplomas relatives to the sciences of education (CELTA, PGCE). While I was at the university of Westminster, I was lucky enough to teach English to young refugees within the City Learning Center of Queens Park in the ESL Department. Which gave me the opportunity to use a large number of technological resources.
I was able to teach mathematics, geography and sciences by using programs such as Solid Blocks, AutoCAD, Lego and Mindstorms and so on.
My strength with my pupils is due to the fact that I have good knowledge of my students learning difficulties. Indeed, being dyslexic myself and having been in trouble at school, I am perfectly capable of identifying their difficulties and presenting them with solutions.
Above all, I systematically make a diagnostic of my pupils to define their level, their weaknesses, their needs, their objectives and also their learning style. Therefore, to allow me to improve their assimilation of the language that we are studying.
I place emphasise during the lessons on grammar and above all on the capacity of my pupils to express themselves orally. We thus leave the writing for the homework.
Here, the method consists in learning as much as possible with pleasure. That’s why my lessons use different medias: PPT, videos, PDF, novels, articles etc.
