My classes will be completely adapted to the needs of the student. As they are designed as support lessons, I usually rely on the theory seen in class, but focusing on completing practical exercises (proposed by me, different from those given at school) together with the student. I could also help with strengthening English with adults who are considering taking a placement test or simply studying for pleasure. Based on the format of all English oficial exams at British universities, my classes will also feature listening, writing and speaking parts, with a lot of emphasis on the latter. I have spent long periods of time in the United States and, precisely, oral expression is one of my strengths. I also propose more dynamic activities, such as recommending series, movies, books and podcasts in English, to discuss with the student during the beginning of the classes. This helps us to break the ice, as well as get the student's ear used to different accents and gain vocabulary passively. Even so, I will always prioritize working on the areas that the student considers that they should improve, also analyzing it under my criteria. I have taught English reinforcement classes to six primary school students for two summers, although I am also willing to work with secondary school students and adults and, now that I live in the center of Madrid, also during the school year. The ideal maximum duration of the classes would be 2 hours, so as not to saturate the student but also to be able to dedicate enough time to each of the parts that I consider key to work on.
