La idea central de cada clase es buscar que los alumnos comprendan los conceptos y porqué se han definido de la manera en que se presentan. Es decir, mostrar que aprender matemáticas no es memorizar una serie de fórmulas o pasos para resolver problemas. Se busca que comprendan los conceptos, porque dicho conocimiento es de utilidad en otras materias donde se aplican matemáticas. En cuanto a la física, lo que busco es que los estudiantes vean la relación de los conceptos con la realidad que describen. Buscando esos objetivos, la estrategia empleada es conjuntar la presentación de un tema, con problemas que motiven al estudiante a reflexionar sobre los conceptos. Además de buscar que expresen continuamente sus dudas e ideas.
