About me

Hi, my name is Iris and I am a Chemical Engineering student at the University of Edinburgh, UK. I am now in the third year of my degree which I am really enjoying. I have always been passionate about science and I really enjoy passing on this passion to those who need a little help. I had excellent grades throughout high school and obtained the mention Très Bien and the Congratulations of the Jury for my Bac S (with a specialisation in maths). I have been tutoring online for two years now and have had nothing but positive feedback. Indeed, I am capable of adapting very easily to the needs of each student. Some students prefer to spend time reviewing the lesson given by the teacher and asking questions. Others just want help to do the exercises given as homework or to do more complicated ones to go further. I like to illustrate my lessons with an online whiteboard, to help visualize mathematical and physics concepts that may seem too abstract for some. I love teaching and creating a non-judgmental environment to help students who often just need a little confidence to succeed!
