I have worked supporting secondary school students who found it challenging to keep up with their subjects. My specialties are science and technology: mathematics, physics, chemistry, programming, and so on. In general, I help my students with their homework or understanding what has been taught in class. When I detect that a concept is not well-consolidated, I get to work and find a way for the student to understand what they are facing. If there is no homework, I like to propose mathematical and logical puzzles that help develop the apprentice's abstract thinking and solve them. My main concern is and will always be that my students deeply understand the subject. Only then, both they and I can be confident that there is nothing to fear. Only then, we will feel comfortable with our secure and consolidated knowledge. That is the profile I want to give to my students: people who understand the concepts so well that they are able to comprehend and solve any problem. I have always believed that knowledge grows like a tree. It is true that we care about the quality of the fruit, but our focus should be on ensuring the soil is brimming with nutrients and watering it patiently. Then the fruit will be guaranteed. I have educational material at my disposal and use drawing software as a whiteboard. I like to keep everything I write on the whiteboard so that I can provide it to the student if necessary.
