Hello! I am Benjamin Plaza, I am 25 years old, I was born in Punta Arenas and today I live in Santiago, Chile. I have been playing drums for more than 15 years and I’ve dedicated myself professionally for sessions and classes for 5 years. In 2017 I started to study drums at Projazz Professional Institute. From that same year I began to take classes and participate in various musical projects such as: Vian Yovi, Chances, Jorge Imhoff, Casandra Paz, Dulce Margot, L1BERA, Chilopoda Humana, Mueres en el mar, La Psychoband, The profile of a murderer, The fever, Chino Vic, Tave, Canto al Petroleo, Alephy, Deivi Gro, Jabel and Anagrama.
I’ve had experience teaching for all levels, ages and for different types of contexts such as academies, group clinics, home classes, online and face-to-face at my studio. The classes have different complexities and objectives depending on the level that the student presents, but all are focused on learning to play and understanding the role of drums in music as an accompanist and/or soloist.
I am currently a graduate of Projazz, I work making online classes, also as a session musician at Casa Mistral studio and making classes at my studio located at Copiapo 383, Santiago Centro, equipped with 2 drums to be able to play at the same time. Since 2021 I have been supported by DrumDealer store, Dixon Drums and Drumker bags.
