I originally come from Reggio, at the centre of the Mediterranean area, place where (some 3500 years ago) the name 'Italy' was first used and seat town of two Universities, included the University For Foreigners. Being a volunteer for several cultural and environmentalist NGOs I have been travelling along 55 countries around the world, often shooting analog photos; I lived abroad in South America, Northern Europe and the Mediterranean and my wife is from abroad. I'm also an amateur writer who wrote a book and more works are yet to be published. I have a degree in Environmental Science and a Master in History of Science; I took my DITALS II Level Certification for teaching Italian to Foreigners in 2019. I am experienced in teaching languages, particularly Italian, which I have taught for 3 years, mostly in Reggio and Messina (lying in Sicily); to date I have some 1,120 hours of experience in formally teaching Italian to foreign people (coming from some 67 countries) at either Universities or Schools, in Calabria and Sicilia. Usually I adopt the so-called Direct method for pupils who's mother tongue is similar to Italian, and the so-called Humanistic method for non-neo-Latin native speakers; in any case besides grammar I focus mostly on conversation, organising activities (planed according to non-formal education) which help to actively use the language.
