About me

Hi, I am Abhirup Das. I am from India . I was born and brought up in Kolkata ( Calcutta ) , a city which has produced a number of Nobel laureates, Oscar winners, scientists and intellectuals over the course of history. In Kolkata, teaching is regarded as a very esteemed profession. Speaking about myself, I have completed my Master's degree in Pure mathematics . I have qualified national level examinations a few times. I cracked GATE ( National level examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology ) twice ( rank 581 and percentile 94 in the year 2019 and rank 253 and percentile 97 in the year 2020 ). My teaching experience has been quite satisfactory so far. My students are placed in renowned institutes like Chennai Mathematical Institute, Indian Institute of Science, University of California. My method is pretty simple. And that is whatever suits the student. Because every student is different. You can't stick to a single method to teach them all. I provide notes, give lectures and encourage students to solve exercises of renowned text books and discuss the doubts with me. My sessions are usually interactive as I feel that the student's participation takes the class to another level.
