I have been a UX Designer / User Researcher for 25 years. I’ve worked on projects in both the public and private sectors – from short scale tactical work to working on large transformation projects. Besides experience design, I’ve created Information architecture, designed content, conducted business analysis, presented research outcomes and design solutions to senior management. I have headed up UX functions and set up new user experience teams. I've worked as a dedicated User Researcher too. Research is, of course, an essential element of any good digital project and something UX designers may well need to do as part of their job role, and as a UX designer you must understand how to respond to research insights and respond with appropriate designs. My work portfolio includes The Times Newspaper, Virgin Media, Cadbury, Citibank, Sky Scottish Widows and various central government departments. I will teach you the all the essential design skills. And I will explain how best to apply these skills in real work environments. A ‘one size fits all’ approach to UX design will not make you a good designer.
