I’m Samuel Beddoe, a process development chemist with over five years of research experience, including two and a half years in the pharmaceutical industry. I hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Southampton, where I developed a strong foundation in synthetic chemistry, electrochemistry, and solar materials. During my time at Concept Life Sciences, I honed my skills in process optimization, scale-up chemistry, and the purification of small molecules, managing to handle complex and novel chemical APIs with ease.
My passion for teaching began during my studies and grew significantly while leading innovation projects and mentoring students during their industrial placements. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to guide others through complex chemical processes and witness their growth and development first-hand. This hands-on teaching experience, coupled with my enthusiasm for sharing knowledge, has inspired me to transition into teaching full-time. I believe that my ability to break down intricate scientific concepts into understandable lessons, along with my supportive and encouraging approach, will greatly benefit my students.
I’m well-versed in the requirements of current UK exam boards, including AQA, OCR, and Edexcel, allowing me to tailor my teaching to meet their specific curriculum needs. My extensive research and practical experience, combined with my passion for scientific communication, equip me to be an excellent online chemistry tutor. I’m excited to inspire and educate students in various aspects of chemistry, helping them achieve their academic goals and fostering their own passion for the subject.
