My name is Elena and I'm a musician. I attended the Conservatory in Turin and previously studied latin and ancient greek in high school. I started tutoring elementary, middle, and high school students right after graduating. I offer tutoring in humanities subjects (Latin, Greek, Italian). Hello, Everyone! My name is Eftychia (or Effie), which means “Happiness” in Greek and I offer happiness to the people who would love to learn Greek. My goal is to keep the Greek language alive and thriving for another five-thousand of years! I am a teacher in Greece with a Masters Degree in Education. I have lived in New York but am currently on a Greek island. In New York, I worked in Greek-bilingual schools while studying at Hunter College (CUNY). I used to work in the public school system in Greece but now I have the pleasure of being the Head of Studies at the Greek-American Non Profit Organization that promotes Greek culture and education. I am also currently working on my PhD in Digital Media and Communication at the Ionian University of Greece. Most of my students are Greek-American and bilingual. I have 13 years of teaching experience in New York and in Greece, teaching Greek as a first and as a second language. I can teach Greek (A1-C2 level) depending on my students needs. I can direct you on A2 and B1 language requirement for the permanent residency/naturalisation in Greece. I am highly experienced in preparing individuals for the GCSE, ellinomatheia and regents (certificates of proficiency in Greek language). Of course every student is different so I make sure to provide a customized program for everyone wanting to learn greek, specified to your needs, while moving at your pace.
My methodology is based on Constructivism which is the notion that people actively construct their own knowledge, and that reality is determined by your experiences as a learner. The major concept is that my students use their previously learned knowledge as a foundation and build on it with new things that they learn. My subject expertise is: modern Greek and Greek history, not just the basic history that is written in handbooks, but from the “inside” history.

I am an economist, risk and compliance consultant and teacher of Latin, Greek and mathematics.
I graduated in business economics and management from Bocconi in 2016, I obtained a Master's degree in European Studies in 2017 and a master's degree in International Relations in 2018 from LUISS. My work experience develops in consultancy, mainly technology and audit, and in 2013 my teaching adventure began between Rome and Milan, immediately after finishing high school. Since then I have had the privilege of working with students of all ages, coming from different parts of Italy.
My experience has taught me that each student is unique, with their own strengths and challenges, and this has helped me develop a personalized approach to tailoring lessons to each student's specific needs.
My lessons are held both individually and in groups, from middle schools to university students and then to couples of adults who simply want to integrate their training to discover the deep roots of the language that we all speak today.
I am excited to share my passion for these classical languages with students who wish to learn them or improve their skills. I have dedicated many years to the study and teaching of Latin and Greek and believe that these languages offer a unique opportunity to explore the culture, literature and philosophy of antiquity.

Hello everyone! My name is Sara, and I give lessons in Italian literature, history, geography, art history, French, Latin, Greek and English; regarding the last three subjects I mentioned, I mean both language and literature.

I still remember a beautiful milestone in my career: a person who had difficulty in Italian and learning Italian literature asked me for help in studying the entire fifth year program from scratch, in order to take the Maturity exam. I promptly offered my support, creating summaries and PowerPoint presentations that were very easy to understand and very comprehensive. The result was exceptional: during the lessons (5 in total) I managed to summarize all the authors of the fifth year (from Leopardi to Saba), and the Maturity Exam was successfully completed!

Experienced teacher ( with more than twenty years of teaching ) gives online lessons of ancient Latin and Greek, philosophy, history, Italian Literature/ language. I can provide lessons suitable to first learners , intermediate students or advanced ones. My method involves step by step solutions ( regarding translations), focusing on how to solve particular textual passages. Grammar rules, idiomatic sentences, lexical explanations will be explicitly and extensively analysed and notes will be added to summarize the content of each lesson. My goal is delivering clear and complete lessons, covering whatever is needed to help the students and foster further knowledge. Human touch, patience and kindness are my core values , when I teach. My formal background was completed at the University degli Studi di Genova , where I studied literature, classical languages, history and philosophy. Since then , I have constantly kept myself up to date, improving my skills both throught the process of teaching and by exploring the latest teaching methods. Pagano' di Campobasso mi sono iscritta all'Università di Pisa, dove ho conseguito la laurea triennale in Lettere antiche e quella magistrale in Filologia e storia dell'antichità col massimo dei voti e la lode. Durante la mia carriera accademica ho sostenuto esami relativi alla didattica, oltre ad aver concluso il pf24 in ambito antropo-psico-pedagogico. La mia esperienza nel campo dell'insegnamento è iniziata con un tirocinio di sei mesi presso il Liceo classico 'G. Galilei' di Pisa dove, accanto ai professori miei tutor, ho tenuto lezioni in orario scolastico e un corso di recupero pomeridiano. Successivamente, a un mese dalla laurea, ho iniziato a lavorare presso il polo liceale 'Dante Alighieri' di Gorizia e in seguito, nella stessa città, presso l'istituto 'D'Annunzio-Fabiani'.
