I’m Mr. Maurice, and I’m really excited you’re here! If you’re looking for someone who can make math a little less scary (and maybe even fun!), you’re in the right place. I've been teaching for a few years now, and trust me — I get it. Math can feel confusing sometimes. But with the right teacher and a little bit of patience, it clicks, and suddenly it all makes sense!
A little about me: I’ve got a TEFL certificate and I am a certified teacher, currently I am studying for my Bachelor of Education at Mount Kenya University. Teaching is something I truly love — not just because I enjoy numbers, but because I enjoy people. I love seeing that moment when something tricky finally makes sense for you. It’s the best feeling ever!
My classes are super chill but still focused. We’ll usually start with a quick review (nothing heavy, just to wake the brain up), then dive into new stuff step-by-step. I’ll break it down in simple ways, using real-life examples and we’ll practice together until you feel confident. I’m all about making sure you’re actually getting it — not just memorizing things for a test.
I teach all levels — whether you’re just starting out, trying to fix some gaps, or aiming for top grades. We’ll work at your pace, and I’ll make sure you leave every lesson feeling a little more confident than when you started.
Most importantly, I’m patient, I’m friendly, and I believe that mistakes are just part of learning. Seriously — there’s no such thing as a “silly question” in my class. Ask away!
