Hi! My name is Monique Bakker, untill the 1st of august 2024 I have worked 17 years as a vocal teacher at the Conservatory of Amsterdam Pop Department Bachelor and Master, which is credited as excellent in the world. The vocal curriculum, which I have helped to develop, has the emphasis on learning the best skills possible on your voice, but also developing creativity and authenticy as an artist. Since September 1st 2024 I am teaching vocals at a school in the Caribbean, because I was up for a new challenge. I have 36 years of experience as a vocal teacher, not only in the Pop Department, but also 24 years of teaching actors as a vocal coach within a well known music interactive theatre group in the Netherlands or learning individual poets to present their poems in public with the right tone and presence. I use vocal techniques like "Estil Voice Training", "Complete Vocal Technique" and "Universal Voice Training". I have helped many famous people in the Netherlands to improve their singing, but I like to teach everyone, as long as they are driven and passionate about music and learning vocals. I am also a (recording) artist, bandleader, songwriter and I play guitar. I have a lot of experience performing and touring. For example I have been part of a famous international artist and her band as a lead and back up singer for nine years and have toured through Europe and Japan. I have played with many well known artists and musicians in the Netherlands and I also have been a guest singer with a few famous American acts. I like to organize my online vocal classes to the learning objectives of each student, amateur, semi-professional or professional. I will be very happy to be your vocal teacher to help you achieve everything you set out to do in terms of your level of singing. Love to share my knowledge and experience with you. Si diploma come violinista presso la scuola musicale “Meliton Balanchivadze” nel periodo fra il 1998 e il 2005 in Georgia. Successivamente, dal 2010 fino al 2014 ha proseguito gli studi musicali di canto lirico presso l’accademia d’arte di Rostov-sul-Don in Russia. Nel 2013 entra al conservatorio Rossini di Pesaro. Nel 2015 studia all'Accademia d'arte lirica di Osimo, seguita negli studi da: Lella Cuberli, Raina Kabaivanska, William Matteuzzi e Anna Vandi. Nel 2018 viene ammessa l’Accademia del Teatro alla Scala presso la quale si perfeziona sotto la guida di: Luciana D’Intino, Eva Mei e Renato Bruson. Incomincia la sua carriera nel 2016 debuttando alcuni ruoli per l'Accademia d'arte lirica di Osimo, quali: Suor Genoveffa ne “Suor Angelica” di Puccini e Suor Agnese ne “Mese mariano” di Umberto Giordano, presso il Teatro la nuova Fenice di Osimo. Ha partecipato al Festival Pergolesi Spontini di Jesi interpretando la Voce lontana ne “Re Enzo” di Ottorino Respighi. Nel 2017 l’opera “Campus di Roma” ha avuto il suo primo debutto nel ruolo di Lauretta nell’opera “Gianni Schicchi” di Puccini. Nel 2018 ha interpretato il ruolo di Giulietta di Kelbar, presso il Teatro Giuseppe Verdi di Busseto e ruolo di Giannetta in una versione ridotta per i bambini dell’Elisir d’amore di Donizetti presso il Teatro alla Scala. Nel 2019 ha debuttato il ruolo di Clorinda nell’opera “La Cenerentola” di Rossini al Teatro alla Scala. Nel luglio 2019 ha debuttato il ruolo di Lauretta nel “Gianni Schicchi” di Puccini presso il Teatro alla Scala, sotto la regia di Woody Allen. A settembre 2019 debutta il ruolo di Adina nell’opera “L’Elisir D’amore” di Donizetti presso il Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza e le successive riprese presso il Teatro di Thiene.
