I'm Yongbin, a native speaker of three Chinese languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, and Teochew. I was born and raised in China and have had the opportunity to explore 45 countries and immerse myself in learning over 20 languages. This journey has ignited a passion for learning and teaching languages and a deep interest in uncovering the history and culture of the world through travel. I hold an MA in sociology from one of the best universities in China and will soon start my new academic journey in historical science in Europe. My diverse life experience, including working in sectors such as education, journalism, finance, and tourism, and collaborating with a Nobel Laureate for a decade, enables me to offer you more than just language lessons in my class. I have been teaching Chinese for a decade. Previously, I taught Chinese to underprivileged students in Nepal, Laos, and Cambodia. With my standard Mandarin accent, I strive to guide you in learning genuine Chinese. I will function as a language guide or tutor rather than adopting the traditional role of a school teacher. My approach will encourage you to actively engage in speaking and organizing language independently. Subsequently, I will provide corrections to errors, fostering improvement. This methodology emphasizes proactive exploration, which facilitates faster and more effective learning, contrary to the conventional 'read after me' approach, which relies on passive absorption.
