Native English teacher with 5 years of experience, currently living in Valencia
About me! 😃
Hello everyone! My name is Theo and I am a native English teacher from Newcastle, UK. I am a Cambridge CELTA-qualified language teacher with 5 years of experience, teaching a wide range of students, from infants to adults. I currently work in a prestigious academy in València, where I teach children of all ages, as well as adult conversation and exam preparation classes.
I have taught online for the past 3 years, and have loved the amazing opportunities that learning remotely has to offer!
I am also an experienced Cambridge exam preparation teacher (from B2 PET-C1 CAE). I also teach Business English as well as job interview classes (with 100% success rate so far!).
About my classes 🎯
My teaching style prioritises the needs and passions of my students, ensuring that they feel comfortable and satisfied with their learning experience. This means that each of my lessons will be relevant and personalised to your life and interests. I always aim to make my classes as dynamic and engaging as possible.
As a Spanish language learner myself, I understand the difficulties of learning English as a Spanish native. I have a lot of experience tackling the common mistakes (with grammar, pronunciation etc.) which Spanish speakers can make. I believe that language learning is a collaborative process and overcoming such problems in this way; in an enjoyable, approachable way is key to my classes!
Alongside my lessons, I also provide a range of useful online resources, including quiz games, reading material, Cambridge exam preparation material and flashcards, for your continued revision and practice after each class.
About you! 📚
So whether you are a parent who is looking to improve your child’s English speaking level or an adult preparing for a Cambridge exam, my classroom welcomes you! I am passionate about what I do and I am committed to helping you achieve your goals and improve your English!
