Hi! My name is Monique Bakker, untill the 1st of august 2024 I have worked 17 years as a vocal teacher at the Conservatory of Amsterdam Pop Department Bachelor and Master, which is credited as excellent in the world. The vocal curriculum, which I have helped to develop, has the emphasis on learning the best skills possible on your voice, but also developing creativity and authenticy as an artist. Since September 1st 2024 I am teaching vocals at a school in the Caribbean, because I was up for a new challenge. I have 36 years of experience as a vocal teacher, not only in the Pop Department, but also 24 years of teaching actors as a vocal coach within a well known music interactive theatre group in the Netherlands or learning individual poets to present their poems in public with the right tone and presence. I use vocal techniques like "Estil Voice Training", "Complete Vocal Technique" and "Universal Voice Training". I have helped many famous people in the Netherlands to improve their singing, but I like to teach everyone, as long as they are driven and passionate about music and learning vocals. I am also a (recording) artist, bandleader, songwriter and I play guitar. I have a lot of experience performing and touring. For example I have been part of a famous international artist and her band as a lead and back up singer for nine years and have toured through Europe and Japan. I have played with many well known artists and musicians in the Netherlands and I also have been a guest singer with a few famous American acts. I like to organize my online vocal classes to the learning objectives of each student, amateur, semi-professional or professional. I will be very happy to be your vocal teacher to help you achieve everything you set out to do in terms of your level of singing. Love to share my knowledge and experience with you.
