I studied English and have a master's in Teaching English and Spanish as FL/SL. I have been working as an English and Spanish teacher for more than three years. Although my methodology changes depending on my students, I always try to encourage my students to have fun while they learn because that way they remember what they learn.
Although I love grammar, I always try to focus my lessons in practising the four skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing), though I put more emphasis in speaking and listening because they are always the most problematic ones for learners. I also focus in vocabulary acquisition because it is always hard to learn and remember. I also try to include cultural contents because language acquisition is intertwined with it.
Por último, ya que un idioma no se aprende con una hora de clase, siempre envío algo para trabajar después de clase, ya sea una redacción corta, la visualización de un vídeo para trabajar lo visto en clase, la realización de un par de actividades para repasar algo de gramática o la grabación de un vídeo para practicar el habla.
Finally, since a language can't be acquired with an hour of class, I always try to send some homework, wether it is a short writing, a video to work the contents seen during the lesson, some activities to practice some grammar or the recording of a video or audio to practice speaking.
