Easy approach to Algebra & Exam Preps. 14+ years. Homework help, test, and exam prep.
Hello, welcome to Classgap! My name is Kelvin, and I am here to assist you. I have a BSc (Hons.) in Physics and an MSc in Applied Mathematics. I have been teaching math for more than 14 years now. In addition, I work as a Math teacher at a British International School. I teach students in elementary, middle, high school, and college. On this platform, I provide online math tutoring to students who want to improve their skills and grades. I am a caring, patient, and thorough tutor.
I am passionate about mathematics. I have always found great joy in instilling confidence in students through my enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject. I have taught students of all ages and abilities, in classes ranging from one-to-one to one-to-five. One of the best feelings I have had while tutoring was not only helping my students succeed in their exams but also inspiring them to enjoy math as they gained confidence in the subject.
I will ensure that you or your child receive the best possible understanding of this subject. I target your weaknesses and turn them into strengths so you can reach your full potential. So, whether you are a student who needs that extra push for an upcoming exam or has always struggled with math, I believe I'm the person to help! My priority is to make you feel comfortable asking any question, no matter how simple, trusting that you understand what is being taught or reviewed.
Because everyone learns at a different pace, I will tailor our one-on-one tutoring sessions to your specific needs. During our first session, I would like to study your ability, what areas and skills you would like to improve, and what time frame and goals you have in mind. Alternatively, if you prefer, I can test you on a few topics to see where you need more help. Based on that, I will create a comprehensive plan for our first few lessons. We will work on some examples before allowing you to try a variety of increasingly difficult questions. We would then move on to tackling exam questions on the topic when you feel more confident. I will also include review sessions in each tutorial, where I will ask a few questions based on the previous work covered. After all, math is not about memorizing; it is practice, practice, practice.
I can assist you with Arithmetic, Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Algebra, Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Advanced Calculus, Integral Calculus, and Differential Calculus, as well as Test Preps for 11+, 13+, PSAT, SAT, GCSE, ACT, GED, AP, IB, GRE, and many other school and college entrance exam preps.
I have a proven track record of success spanning more than a decade of teaching and private tutoring Mathematics in high-achieving schools and colleges in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and many other countries. I highly encourage you to book your first session with me. You will see how math can be both enjoyable and understandable. Thanks, and see you soon.

We couldn’t be happier with Kelvin. If I could I would give him 6 stars! He has great knowledge of a wide range of math topics. Most importantly he makes math fun. Our son says his positive energy is infectious; he now looks forward to his classes…even during the summer holidays. He’s done a fantastic job getting our son ready for the 9th grade. We will definitely use him during the school year to continue to give him a boost.
