CELTA certified teacher from London, UK. Send me a message for more information!
Hi! My name is Josh and I am from London, UK. I am a CELTA-trained (Pass A) English teacher. I speak Spanish and some Portuguese but have experience in teaching students from all around the world.
I have many interests but some of them include learning languages, fitness, music (I play guitar, piano and I write music), podcasts, meditation, plants, travelling, architecture and so on.
MY LESSONS AND TEACHING STYLE
Although I can tailor my lessons to the student, I tend to offer three types of lessons which can be adapted for business and general English:
Conversation practice:
We don’t use material and simply focus on speaking through a conversation about any topic of interest to you. I provide you with language feedback throughout and at the end of the lesson. I recommend this type of lesson for intermediate students and above.
Vocabulary and speaking:
We use materials which contain new vocabulary and practise the vocabulary through speaking exercises. This can be good for students who don’t wish to focus on grammar but are looking to reach the next level by expanding their vocabulary and speaking skills.
General English lessons:
Rather than just focusing on vocabulary and speaking, we use material which helps us to practise all the skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing. This includes vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation too.
