I am a TEFL certified tutor (teaching English as a foreign language). My way of teaching is relaxed, friendly, and conversational; I always work with my students and tailor our lessons to their individual needs. I try to make the class less stressful and as enjoyable as possible.
If you are a complete beginner, the initial Greek lessons will focus on the basics; I will teach you how to read and understand the sounds of the Greek alphabet, combine syllables to formulate words, use the articles, and greet in Greek. “Kalimera”. We will have simple conversations, but as we go on, they’ll become more complicated: “Γειά σου, τι κάνεις;” (Geia sou, ti kaneis;)
You may want to learn just enough for your Greek summer break. If that’s the case we will have lessons to get you ready for your summer days in Greece. We will have speaking based on real-life situations such as “how to introduce yourself in Greek”, “order your favourite food or drink”, “ask for directions,” and so on.
For advanced speakers or students who want preparation for the exams of the Greek language certification, the lessons will be intense and structured, we will have plenty of grammar activities, speaking and listening practice. Together we will explore the colloquial expressions of the Greek language, and the idioms, we will discuss your favourite topics of conversation and you will also get acquainted with the Greek mythology, literature, music and plenty more.
