Ciao!
My name is Gilda, and I would love to introduce you to everyday Italian, the kind you won't find in textbooks! Or support you in your learning, stimulate your curiosity, at any level :)
I'm passionate about languages and linguistics, and I have a Master's degree in this field from the University of Federico II in Naples. I also took a wonderful course in neurolinguistics. I have been teaching English as a foreign language for 5 years to both adults and children, and I really enjoy it.

Ciao!

I'm passionate about languages and linguistics, and I have a Master's degree in this field from the University of Federico II in Naples. I also took a wonderful course in neurolinguistics. To students who get frustrated because they can't remember new words right away, I like to reassure them and tell them that words are like strangers on a train. I won’t remember all their faces when I get home, right? (and thankfully so). But only the faces of those who did something special, like giving me a smile or stepping on my foot! And I’m also traveling with you on that train, and with my experience I am happy to create strategies so that those strangers can become your friends :)
I have lived and worked in Germany, England, and Spain. They say that those who know many languages live as many lives as the languages they know, and that's exactly how I feel! I speak fluent German, English, and Spanish. I have also started learning Russian and Chinese, which are beautiful languages, but I’m being a bit lazy at the moment :)
I always tell my students: I have been in your shoes! It's essential to build a relationship of trust with your teacher so that you feel comfortable and can lower the level of "cognitive load," all those thoughts that swirl in our heads and distract or demoralize us.
I’m really good at this, and I'm sure that together we can create a beautiful Italian :)
Un saluto,
Scrivimi!
