I am a versatile and passionate conductor with a well-established technique, developed through years of experience conducting orchestras, ensembles, and choirs of various kinds, including chamber, opera, and community groups. I currently serve as conductor of the Orquesta Escuela de Lanús, a youth orchestra modeled on Venezuela's "El Sistema," where I guide young musicians in their development as orchestral performers. Additionally, I teach basic orchestral conducting at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, where I nurture the next generation of conductors by sharing the knowledge and techniques I have developed over the years. During my time at Temple University, I not only served as graduate assistant conductor for the University Singers, Singing Owls, University Chorale, and Temple University Opera Theater, but I also taught basic, intermediate, and advanced conducting for undergraduates. This hands-on teaching experience has honed my ability to adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of students at various levels, allowing me to mentor aspiring conductors while refining their technique, musical interpretation, and leadership skills.
As a conductor, I pride myself on being versatile and adaptable, equally comfortable leading a professional orchestra, a community choir, or an opera ensemble. My ability to interpret and bring out the best in a wide range of repertoire—whether classical, contemporary, or operatic—enables me to communicate effectively with musicians of all backgrounds and skill levels. Whether on the podium or in the classroom, I aim to foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, ensuring that every performer feels empowered to contribute to the collective artistic vision. My strengths as a conductor lie not only in my technical command of the score but also in my ability to connect with musicians, motivating them through clear communication, empathy, and mutual respect.
I earned my MM in Choral Conducting from Temple University, where I received the Elaine Brown Tribute Award, and hold degrees in both Orchestral and Choral Conducting from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina. My conducting expertise has been shaped by courses with distinguished teachers such as Luis Gorelik, Ariel Alonso, Facundo Agudín, Annunziata Tomaro, Kirk Trevor, Glenn Block, and Steen Lindholm. Mentors have described me as "talented, intelligent, dedicated, reliable, and personable [...] his strongest suits are his ear, his intelligence, and his warmth."
My musical journey began at age 11, and since then, I’ve developed a rich and diverse career as a conductor and performer. My work has taken me across Europe, South America, and the United States, where I’ve had the privilege of leading various ensembles and contributing to performances in a wide range of settings.
