Hello! My name is Elena and I am from Russia. For the last few years I have lived in Mexico and I am passionate about Latin American culture. Here I would like to share my experience and knowledge with different people. I have dedicated my professional life to psychology and teaching. I am always willing to tune in the best way with each student to achieve a faster result, in a fluid and enjoyable way. As a teacher I am patient and attentive, and I take the time to prepare each of my classes. My study programs are focused on Spanish speakers. I have had students from different countries in Latin America and from the United States. If you're a beginner, we start with the Cyrillic alphabet, but don't panic, it's actually not that difficult. Russian sounds are quite clear and most of them have English equivalents. With a little practice you will be able to read texts in Russian. From the first classes we will start talking little by little. This way you will learn to make your first dialogues with Russian people, understand the questions they ask you and talk about yourself and your family. Russian grammar is not the easiest, but I have many tools to help you understand the logic of the language, comparing Russian grammar with Spanish. You will see that in some parts of the grammar Russian is easier than Spanish or English. For example, there are not so many grammatical tenses, there is no subjunctive, nor articles, the verb ser / estar is not used in the present, etc. Furthermore, Russian is a fairly flexible language. In the classes we are going to read stories, watch videos, listen to audios and talk about the culture. I will always be here to help you with your questions or doubts about Russian, even in the period between classes. If you are advanced, we will focus on conversation practice and advanced grammar, using articles, news, film clips and other materials on the topics that interest you most.
