Initiation, reinforcement and test preparation.
Classes for all levels and ages.
Welcome to my profile
My name is Carlos Ortega and I'm a professional musician and teacher.
I finished the Bachelor of violin in the Royal Conservatory of Madrid (RCSMM), where I received classes from Joaquín Torre.
I am an active member of the Spanish National Youth Orchestra (JONDE) with both violin and viola.
Before arriving there I was in the Youth Orchestra of the Autonomous Community of Madrid (JORCAM), Youth Orchestra of Aragon (JOA), Atlantida Chamber Orchestra, Iuventas Orchestra, Orquesta Ciudad de Alcalá (OCA), Orquesta y Coro de Cámara Sonora (OCC Sonora) and Philharmonic Orchestra of the 25 Villas (OFC25 Villas), being concertmaster in the last two.
Besides orchestras, I also have experience in quartets: Serenata Project and Cuarteto ORBIS.
I started teaching when I was 15, taking advantage of the training I received in the educational project Il Violinati when I was at the Professional Conservatory of Alcalá de Henares and, since then, I have continued working as a teacher in music schools and high schools, besides giving private lessons.
Before the pandemic began, I had experience teaching online, because some students had a difficult situation in terms of availability. But it is true that the pandemic has made me improve the quality of my classes, since it has been the only way I have had to continue working as a teacher.
Currently, many of my students still prefer this format.
