I recently had my first two-hour lesson with Carlos, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, he created a very relaxed and encouraging environment that made me feel comfortable, while still pushing me to deliver and do my best. One of the standout aspects of Carlos’ teaching is how he genuinely takes the student’s interests into account. He made sure to pick pieces of music that I enjoy, which kept me motivated throughout the lesson. Carlos is very attentive to important technical details, such as posture, finger movement, and hand and wrist positioning, which are crucial for building a strong foundation. I also appreciated his structured approach to tackling new pieces of music. The lesson was a perfect blend of practical work and theory, exactly what I was looking for. However, I’m confident that if I had wanted to focus less on theory, Carlos would have adjusted the lesson to suit my preferences. Despite only having one lesson so far, I walked away with a wealth of new knowledge and a great feeling about my progress moving forward. The fact that he took the time to ensure I always finished on a high note speaks volumes about his encouraging teaching style. Even though our lessons are virtual, Carlos has an incredible setup to make sure I can see everything I need. He switches between multiple camera angles to show himself, the keyboard, and even close-up shots of his hands or sheet music. He even uses his phone as an extra camera to give me clear views of specific techniques, such as wrist positioning or finger movement. I would 100% recommend Carlos as a piano teacher to anyone, whether you’re a beginner or more advanced. His friendly, encouraging nature combined with his attention to detail and ability to adapt to student preferences makes him a fantastic choice for anyone looking to improve their piano skills!

Carlos is doing a fantastic job as an instructor and I can wholeheartedly recommend him. He has a very clear and long term curriculum, which ensuress continues progress, however, at the same time he ensures that the topics are aligned with my interests so that they never get dull. Also, he is very flexible and, if he realised that I already am familiar with some material, he will ask some questions to assess the depth of my knowledge and then adjust his lesson content accordingly on the fly.
