About me

University student has been offering german lessons for 5 years :)

Hi! My name is Camilla and I’m 28 years old :) I graduated from a Language High School (English, German, and Spanish), then I earned a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Milan (German and Spanish). I also spent a semester at a language school in Munich, at the end of which I obtained the Goethe C1 German certification. I completed a Master’s in Consecutive Interpreting (DE>IT>DE) and I also hold a Master’s degree in Interpreting (DE>IT>DE and ES>IT). For more than 7 years I have been offering private tutoring in languages (German, Spanish, English, French, Italian – and other school subjects) to middle and high school students. I really enjoy this job and it gives me great satisfaction :) In addition, I teach foreign languages through both in-person and online courses. When it comes to tutoring, I usually start by asking the student to tell me about their situation with the language, and I listen carefully in order to understand their difficulties. I try to see if they already have a study method, and if not, I suggest one that I think best fits their needs. After giving a theoretical overview of the topic, we work together on exercises to make sure they have understood and to consolidate the concepts. At the end of the lesson, if there is still time, I like to propose an interactive activity based on what we covered that day. I am also available to prepare summaries or explanatory handouts outside lesson hours, with additional compensation :) As for language courses, here too I first try to understand the student’s needs and difficulties, so that I can offer a tailor-made course in order to achieve the set goals.
