Antonio

The soundtrack of a movie can change the course of a person's life. That is what happened to Antonio when he saw the film by Baraka, directed by Ron Fricke in 1992. At the beginning of the film, the mysterious sounds of the sublime bamboo flute of Japan appear, masterfully interpreted by Kohachiro Miyata. Those first were the call to leave everything and start the path of bamboo. Antonio Enzan has been instructed under the direction of the best masters of shakuhachi. In the classical genres, Kinko Ryu Chikumeisha with Tanaka Komei, Fuke Shakuhachi with Etsuzan Fujiyoshi and in contemporary and avant-garde music with Teruhisa Fukuda, Kuniyoshi Sugawara, Shozan Tanabe and Katoh Hidekazu. In the year 2010 Etsuzan Fujiyoshi gives him the professional name belonging to his Saiho Enzan lineage, and in 2014 Teruhisa Fukuda grants him the Dai Shihan Menjo license of Grand Master of Shakuhachi. During the classes we will work on the configuration of the air column, the first and second octaves, reading the sheet music of the shakuhachi, ornamentation and head movements.
