Hello, I was born in Spain. In Spanish, I have 3 masters' degrees (and a PhD in English not finished yet).
My interests are domestic (USA and Europe) and international politics, history (America and Europe), psychology, comparative religions, philosophy, the best novels worldwide (Steinbeck, Tolkien, Dostoevsky, etc.), legal and political intrigue (John Grisham, Tom Clancy...), music, excursions, hiking, art, traveling, playing soccer and basketball, and cycling.
My classes are a combination of serious and fun topics: lessons from top quality grammar books, grammar using interesting sentences, famous quotations, and conversations about interesting topics.
For example, if you are learning the subjunctive, I use sentences that can expand our horizons psychologically and spiritually: “Man begins to love himself by himself. The next step in evolution is for man to learn to love God, though still for himself and not for God's sake" (Jan Guillou, Trilogy of the Crusades I).
I can speak professionally about international relations, history, philosophy, and private wealth management; and conversationally about: self-help (improving vital signs, relieving stress, sleeping well, etc. with real quotations from psychologists/psychiatrists), psychology, art, cinema, and sports. I have taught at a school (Spain) and a high-research university (USA).
