Hi my name is Odette Van Wyk, I am 24 years old and live in Cape Town, South Africa. I am a very fast learner and hard working person. I can work on Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as Opera reservation system and Xero accounting system and on Payprop. I can speak and write English and Afrikaans and have good communication skills. I have done a two year International qualification in Tourism with CTH (UK based institution) and a two year National qualification in Tourism with DHET (N4, N5, N6). I love travelling and exploring new places and also to learn about different cultures and their food, I went on my first overseas trip to Mauritius in 2019 and went to Maldives for honeymoon in 2021 but I want to see so much more of the world. I am currently working at Just Property in Blouberg as the Receptionist and I am very thankful that I have a job after not having one for almost 2 years but it is not a company I see myself working for long term. I recently finished my level 5 300 hour online TEFL course with I – to – I. My course covered the following: Fundamental Basics (180 hours), one – to – one and online, business English, teach English through yoga and mindfulness in children. My home language might be Afrikaans but I have studied in English for 4 years where I got multiple distinctions and my job is 95% of the time English. My English speaking and writing is better than my home language. I know living in South Africa load shedding is well known, I do have a UPS back up power supply when we have load shedding.
